This role is responsible for establishing, developing, and evolving the go-to-market strategies for BlastX to drive ongoing demand, awareness, and revenue growth, in collaboration with our sales and delivery teams. This role oversees company messaging, positioning, execution and optimization of marketing activity, including campaigns, with a focus on pipeline generation and client acquisition.

In addition, this role produces high-impact, relevant content and communications, across multiple channels and formats, to support brand awareness, engagement, acquisition, retention, and advocacy, as well as industry leadership and teammate experience. Working directly with senior management and company-wide stakeholders.

This role leads and grows a small high-performing team of marketing professionals and will nurture success and mentor/support their ongoing development. This position reports to the Chief Growth Officer.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 10+ years’ experience with direct responsibility for marketing and communications, encompassing strategy and execution
  • 5+ years’ experience in a business-to-business digital marketing management role focused on building brands and lead generation. Some agency experience is desired
  • Clear track record of effectively leading high-profile initiatives to meet performance marketing KPIs
  • Deep experience and understanding of the principles and disciplines of performance marketing, including SEM, affiliates, display, CRM, marketing automation
  • In-depth knowledge of digital engagement channels, technical strategies, and emerging global trends
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing and communications, campaigns, and best practices to optimize the customer journey
  • Superior sense of marketing funnel and impact on customer engagement, acquisition, retention, and advocacy
  • Expertise in brand management, including message development, standardization, and governance
  • Expertise in content development and optimization, with ability to synchronize across multiple channels and touchpoints
  • Demonstrated success with various inbound and outbound marketing channels, including (but not limited to): website, blog, social media, collateral, email, events, and public relations
  • Excellent writing/editing skills and experience creating effective, cross-channel content (particularly B2B)
  • Outstanding leadership and ability to nurture and grow teammates
  • Proven ability to present and influence leadership and other stakeholders with strategy, recommendations, and plans
  • Team player with ability to collaborate at all levels and across all functions
  • Experience creating and managing a budget, as well as delivering and reporting on ROI

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop BlastX brand and lead marketing strategy to establish market leadership and achieve company growth objectives
  • Work with company leadership to develop top-level go-to-market strategies for analytics and digital experience business
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence, including competitive research and analysis, to develop and maintain Blast’s differentiation
  • Partner closely with sales and delivery teams to drive target customer demand and acquisition in line with company revenue goals
  • Lead strategy and oversee execution of all marketing channels, including SEO, paid media, partnerships, and events
  • Guide strategy, execution, and optimization of strategic, multi-channel campaigns, with focus on pipeline generation
  • Define, measure, and report on the performance of all channels and campaigns, to optimize marketing investment, including driving new MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads) for the sales organization for key industries, channel partners and enterprise target accounts
  • Develop a content strategy and calendar for owned, shared, and earned media, aligned to campaigns and marketing strategies
  • Develop, implement, and govern brand guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of brand (identity, voice, style) across all content and communications
  • Manage content development for a range of content across the funnel, including website, articles, collateral, white papers, case studies, video, social media, etc
  • Lead the creation of thought leadership content (insights articles, webinars) to position Blast and key teammates as leaders in analytics and digital experience
  • Help develop and implement Blast’s story and messaging as our industry (and company) continues to grow and evolve
  • Execute disciplined budget planning and management, aligned to company budget
  • Lead and nurture a team of marketing resources; engage and manage external resources, including agencies, as needed
